On June 4, 2025, the National Standard Information Public Service Platform announced a notice soliciting opinions on the proposed mandatory national standard (mandatory national standard for L2 level assisted driving) project for the "Safety Requirements for Intelligent Connected Vehicle Combination Driving Assistance System". The purpose of this mandatory national standard is to ensure the safety of intelligent connected vehicles in combination driving assistance systems (L2 level assisted driving). Proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, entrusted to the Intelligent Connected Vehicle Branch of the National Automotive Standardization Technical Committee for implementation. The project has a duration of 22 months and was declared on March 22, 2024. The public announcement period is from June 4, 2025 to July 4, 2025.
