The Bollingstedt energy storage station in Germany officially went into operation in June 2025. Covering an area of 1.2 hectares, this energy storage station, with an installed capacity of 103.5 MW and an energy storage capacity of 238 MWh, can meet the green power demand of 170,000 households for up to two hours. The Bollingstedt energy storage station provides stable power supply for industrial and commercial users and residents, significantly alleviates the pressure on the power grid, fills the key gap in Germany's energy storage sector, and marks a solid and important step for Germany on its energy transition path. The 64 MC Cube BESS Cube energy storage systems specially designed by BYD for the Bollingstedt project were the key to the success of the project.
