Professor Tong participated in the consultation activities (in Beijing) before the release of this article. Developing the low-altitude economy holds significant strategic importance. It not only can cultivate a new engine for economic growth, promote industrial upgrading and technological innovation, but also can deepen the integration of military and civilian sectors and enhance the country's comprehensive competitiveness. As an important support for the low-altitude economy, low-altitude manufacturing is both the main battlefield for technological innovation and the core for value creation. Among them，key materials serve as the technical foundation of low-altitude manufacturing and are the key factors determining the performance，safety and cost of aircraft. This article focuses on the key materials needed for the development of the low-altitude economy and deeply analyzes their current development status and future demand space. By studying the main problems faced by the independent guarantee of key materials， the following suggestions are proposed from several aspects： First， enhance the independent control ability of key materials， and focus on breaking through core technologies； second， optimize the efficiency of industrial chain collaboration， and build an efficient collaboration system； third， promote the standardization of unification and the systematization of platforms， and improve the industrial ecosystem； fourth， explore the construction of a talent pipeline with deep integration of industry-university-research. These measures will provide strong support for enhancing the core competitiveness of China's low-altitude economy.
